Tell us about your role at Precede, what does your day-to-day look like?

I’m part of the Credit team at Precede, focused on originating, underwriting, and executing new loans for large-scale development (£50m+) and bridge finance (£5m+) opportunities. My day-to-day often includes building relationships with brokers and borrowers, analysing and structuring new lending opportunities, running financial models, and preparing for investment committee. I collaborate closely with valuers, project monitors, and lawyers to ensure thorough due diligence as we deploy capital. The variety and pace of the role, along with the chance to contribute to wider business initiatives, make every day different and rewarding.

What did your career path look like before Precede?

Before joining Precede, I worked at Green Street, supporting institutional investors underwrite investments across core and niche real estate sectors. I led a range of projects, from bespoke research to investment strategy advice, and helping clients make informed asset management decisions. I started my career at JP Morgan, supporting multi-asset portfolio managers and beginning my CFA studies. These experiences gave me a broad perspective and a solid grounding in both real estate and financial analysis.

What is your favourite thing about your role?

I enjoy working closely with clients to help bring their development projects to life. The close-knit team environment at Precede means I’m involved in every aspect of the deal process, from origination through to execution. This hands-on involvement, combined with the opportunity to collaborate with talented colleagues and tackle new challenges, makes the work both dynamic and rewarding.

How has your past experience helped shape you in your role now?

My previous roles exposed me to a range of asset classes and deal structures, sharpening my analytical and underwriting skills. Working alongside talented mentors taught me to approach tasks critically and with attention to detail—skills that are essential for underwriting and structuring complex deals at Precede.
